About Us

Southglen Estate is a special place in Western Australia, nestled   between two ridges of the Darling Scarp.

This valley experiences unique weather conditions during autumn, winter and spring. Cold nights, misty mornings, trees turning all colours of the rainbow, white water rushing through the Chittawarra Brook then slowing as it flows gently into Southglen Lake and finally into the Helena river. Bird calls echoing through the valley add to the serenity of this rural hideaway.

Southglen Cottage was one of the original buildings on the 45 hectare property and was renovated into a stylish bed and breakfast in 2011.

It can accommodate a group of one, two or three couples and is just 30 km from Perth City centre.

The current owners of Southglen live on the property along with their adorable Golden Retriever, Alice.

A maximum of 6 people only are permitted at the cottage at any one time.
